Since 1993, Philip Mullins has represented individuals and businesses in North Carolina trial and appellate matters. Since 2000, he has focused his insurance and litigation experience on advocating for injured people and their families.

Service to the bar and courts.

Philip has participated in the North Carolina Bar Association, North Carolina Advocates for Justice, American Bar Association, and Durham County Bar Association, where he served as president in 2010–2011. His admissions include North Carolina state courts, federal district courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of North Carolina, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Education

A foundation in scholarship and advocacy.

Philip earned his B.A. from Wheaton College in 1988 and his J.D. from Campbell University in 1993. At Campbell, he represented the school on the International Moot Court team, was a published member of the Campbell Law Review, received the Thomas Anderson Scholarship, and served as a law clerk to the North Carolina OSHA Review Board.

Community

Personal commitment beyond the courtroom.

Philip has worked closely with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and has spoken at events and fundraisers across Eastern North Carolina. The mission is personal: both of his sons live with Type 1 diabetes.
